XcodeBuildMCP macOS Template

A modern macOS application template using a workspace + SPM package architecture for clean separation between app shell and feature code. This template is designed to be used with XcodeBuildMCP.

Customization

When using this template, the following placeholders will be replaced:

  • MyProject → Your project name
  • com.example.MyProject → Your bundle identifier
  • MyProjectFeature → Your feature module name
  • Build settings can be customized in the Config/ XCConfig files
  • App sandbox entitlements can be modified in MyProject.entitlements

Requirements

  • Xcode 16.0 or later
  • macOS 15.0+ deployment target (configurable)
  • Swift 6.0

macOS-Specific Features

This template includes:

  • App Sandbox: Configured with basic file and network access
  • Window Management: Ready for multiple windows and settings
  • Menu Bar: Standard macOS menu structure
  • Document Support: Can be extended for document-based apps
